Set in the heart of the village, in the Admiralty Boathouse

The purpose of the archive is to preserve, store and share documents, pictures, film and audio material relating to Newlyn and its people.

The archive was founded in 2009 and moved to its present location in 2017 through the generosity of the Harbour Commisioners. It is a community organisation run by volunteers.

Friends of the archive pay an annual subscription of £5 a year or a life subscription of £100 and play an active part in running open days, staffing the Boathouse, filing and researching archive material.
